You need to follow the development thread to some extent to be aware of any real issues with unstable ports like Fuze. I think the Fuze v1 has really good support while the v2 is almost there. I looked for a new player with Ogg Vorbis and video support that could run Rockbox and couldn't find any, so the Fuze seemed like a decent choice instead. When I bought the Fuze I had no expectation that it would also get a port. I've been running Rockbox on a couple of old iRiver hard drive players for years. Is that a mistake in my Device Tree Blob, probably?Ĭode: Select all usb 1-1.4: new full speed USB device using fsl-ehci and address 4 Since Sansa doesn't offer the source code (LOL) I wanted to crack it open and fix it with hex patching. The Sandisk software is buggy, if one's watching a video and then menu out to reduce the video brightness and then resume the video, the thing crashes with what looks like a stack error. I've been developing hardware and software for the country's transportation infrastructure and had hoped to be able to transfer video from my new wayside device to my Sansa MP3 player so I could watch cargo trains with Metallica screaming in the background at night when I can't sleep.īut also I have been attempting to crack open / hack the Sandisk Fuze to see if I could open its software up.
